Warminster, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/05/2019 -- Total Soccer is a company that takes pride in providing elite soccer classes to Montgomery County, PA, soccer players. The company loves to see the U.S. teams thrive, which is why they are taking the time to acknowledge the stepping down of the women's soccer coach, Jill Ellis. Ellis is the only coach to win two women's World Cups and recently announced she will act as the U.S. Soccer Ambassador as of October 2019. Total Soccer would like to take a moment to acknowledge her many achievements.

Originally from England, Ellis has spent the majority of the past 20 years assisting U.S. Soccer. She has fulfilled various positions including, youth coach, scout, assistant coach, and development director. Ellis became the head coach of the women's senior national team in 2014, guiding them through eight tournaments and two World Cups, with an overall record of 102-7-18.

Although she led the U.S. women's soccer team to World Cup Victories, Ellis was still met with criticisms. From unusual lineups to benching star players, there were questionable decisions throughout her role as head coach. Though at times Ellis was heavily critiqued, she was praised by U.S. Soccer president Carlos Cordeiro. Cordeiro released a statement, "She helped raise the bar for women's soccer in the USA and the world."

The proof is in the pudding when it comes to evaluating Jill Ellis' performance as the U.S. women's head soccer coach. Her excellent decision making and ability to triumph the World Cup is incredible. Ellis has said that she has been contemplating stepping down for quite some time. She believes that the change is in the best interest of the team.

Even though Jill Ellis is stepping down from her position as head coach, her legacy will live on forever. She improved the team immensely and led the team to make history. Total Soccer honors Ellis' coaching skills and would love to contribute to the love of the game. Total Soccer provides soccer classes to Montgomery County and enjoys teaching children of all ages.
